SCOPE
Scope and disclaimer
What this site does, and the things it deliberately does not do.
Information, not legal advice
Everything published here is general information about EU Regulation 261/2004 and UK air passenger rights. It is not legal advice, and using this site does not create a solicitor-client or adviser-client relationship. Individual cases turn on facts that a website cannot assess — the operating carrier, the precise arrival time, the airline's operational records and the applicable national practice.
For a dispute of significant value, or where limitation periods may be running, take advice from a qualified lawyer in the relevant jurisdiction.
Estimates, not promises
The checker produces an educational first look, not a determination, an offer, or a guarantee. Reference amounts of €250, €400 and €600 (and their sterling equivalents) are statutory reference figures. Whether any amount is actually payable depends on coverage, cause, notice, the 50% reduction rules and exceptions that this site summarises but cannot fully evaluate for your circumstances.
No payout is promised or implied anywhere on this site.
No claim submission
We do not submit claims, act as your representative, negotiate with airlines on your behalf, or pursue compensation for you. The letter builder creates a draft that you review and send yourself, by your own chosen method.
We are not a claims management company and we take no commission or share of any compensation you recover.
No flight lookup or record verification
We do not connect to airline reservation systems, airport databases or flight-status feeds. Nothing here verifies that a flight existed, that it was delayed by a specific amount, or that a booking was valid. The tools rely entirely on what you tell them.
Currency of information
Rules evolve through regulation, court judgments and enforcement practice. Each guide shows a last-reviewed date. Figures and thresholds should be checked against current official guidance before you rely on them, particularly for anything affecting money or deadlines.
Third-party services
Where a guide mentions a commercial claims service, that mention is not an endorsement, a partnership or an assertion of affiliation. Using such a service is optional; claiming directly with the airline is always available. Commercial services may charge fees or retain a proportion of any compensation.

Links to official sources are provided for verification. We do not control external sites and are not responsible for their content.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, DelayPayouts accepts no liability for loss arising from reliance on the general information published here. Nothing in this disclaimer limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
